This 3rd edition of "Crisis Preparedness Handbook" is a great addition to anyone's library. I'd always tried to practice and believed in the importance of being prepared with food storage, having raised a family with 8 children. But this book really breaks down all of the different areas that we need to be prepared in. And even though I thought I had a pretty good hold on food storage, I learned a lot from "Crisis Preparedness Handbook." I LOVE the worksheets that I can download anytime, tables, checklists, and other tools the authors give in this book. I even found the table of contents to be extremely helpful because I was able to go straight to the sections that I knew applied to me right now. There are a lot of things to do to be completely prepared for any crisis, but I like how this book lays out the steps we need to take in a very logical and easy to use format. It even suggests areas I had never really thought about experiencing (like pandemics). I think considering the unexpected ‘surprises’ we’ve all seen in today’s world, we should never discount anything anymore. Worksheet 2.1 puts that in perspective. I also really liked the alternative livelihoods section. When the time comes you need to survive in a world that’s gone crazy, a loaf of bread can be worth it’s weight in a pound of gold. Many scintillating thoughts to grow there. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone that wants to get better prepared for any kind of emergency or crisis we may face. Whether you are a beginner or an expert in preparedness, there are useful tips and tools in this book and you'd learn a lot. There may be one or two of these under family’s Christmas trees this year. As a mom with 2 young kids, I'm super busy. So the best kind of book to help me be prepared for emergencies is one that has practical, easy-to-follow advice. "Crisis Preparedness Handbook" is that exact, right kind of book. This is really a book that I can go back to over and over again when I'm ready to take the next step in preparedness. And I really love that I can have it as an e-book so if I need to look something up real quick I can easily do it on my phone. I also really appreciate the preparedness product information so I know what kinds of supplies I can get for my family that will work well. I totally recommend this book to everyone that wants to be prepared for a disaster. And that disaster doesn't have to be something huge, it can be small things too. This is a great book, and one that I think would actually be good to have both the e-book and the physical book for you could pull the e-book up on your phone when on the go, and then write your notes and fill out the worksheets in the physical book too. Although it does say that you can get the worksheets on her website too, but I like it in a book so I don't have to worry about losing any of the papers.
